Meet Kimberly Bunton

Chief Administrative Officer

KIMBERLY L. BUNTON, is a multi-disciplinary lawyer and administrator with extensive law firm, government, corporate and media management experience. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and Juris Doctorate.

Prior to beginning her legal career, Kimberly worked in broadcast journalism for local radio and television stations in Lexington, KY. She also served as the public relations coordinator and staff writer for Kentucky State University, President’s Office.

Kimberly started her legal career with Frost Brown Todd LLC as a commercial litigation associate. In 2003, Louisville Magazine named Kimberly as one of the Most Powerful People Under 45. That same year, she was appointed to serve as Louisville Metro Government’s first director of policy and strategic planning overseeing the implementation of the newly merged government’s new policies, procedures and grant management and processes. During her six-year tenure with Louisville Metro Government, she served as head of several departments including Community Action Partnership, housing and development and other social service agencies.

In her private practice, Kimberly has represented several prominent and high-profile individuals and businesses in complex, highly-publicized matters. She has successfully defended cases in both federal and state court involving a variety of claims including negligence, contract disputes, trademark and copyright infringement, administrative and regulatory law.

REPRESENTATIVE CASES AND MATTERS INCLUDE

  1. Obtained defense verdict in $10 million wrongful death action
  2. Successfully represented Louisville civil rights organization in high-profile law-making regulatory law action
  3. Successfully represented Louisville Judge in ethical and professional standard action before the Judicial Conduct Commission
  4. Obtained judgment in federal court against high-profile entertainer for breach of contract
  5. Obtained judgment dismissing copyright infringement action against a Louisville technology company
  6. Successfully obtained temporary injunction on covenant not to compete on behalf of a Louisville staffing and case management company
    Consulted and advised political action committee (PAC) for current Kentucky Governor
  7. Successfully negotiated exit and settlement agreements involving high-profile executives and community leaders

Currently, Kimberly serves as the Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel for TKT & Associations, Inc., a leader in supplier and workplace diversity management and professional staffing for the public and private sectors.
